Use of penac in fruit cultivars in Cloister Neustift in Südtirol
All together 15ha are under agricultural use of which 12ha are used for fruit and 3ha for wine. In 1993, the first endeavors were made with penac on a small area. In 1997 it was decided to implement penac on half of the land.
In the spring the ground was treated with 500g penac-k per ha. Penac-k optimises the microbial life in soil and therefore increases the organic mass and humus.
In intervals of three weeks penac-p was applied. The first application was 500g penac-p per ha and a further application of 200g per ha were applied. The difference between treated and untreated areas can be seen clearly. Here specifically the former condition of trees as well as the darker leaf green can be easily recognised.
Especially noticeable is the earlier stages of development as well as the darker green of the leaves. It was also noticed that the penac treated blocks showed no damage by mice and the damages from previous years were clearly reduced, thanks to penac. Due to the overall excellent results, the penac products were implemented on the whole farming enterprise.
