Penac Demonstration Trial Wheat Tygerhoek 1999

 

Purpose To demonstrate the effect of penac-p (3041) as seed treatment versus untreated seed.

Trial Each trial was repeated four times (see H-1 to H-4) for each repetition per cultivar.

Method The penac treated seeds have been mixed with 20g penac-p (3041) per 50g seed.

The trial with the wheat showed that by dressing the seed with 20g penac-p/50kg seed a better hl mass as well as yield are achieved.

This trial has clearly demonstrated that seed dressing with penac is an absolute necessity as demand for nitrogen decreases but total yield increases.
